Newborns are my favorite subject to photograph and I find the opportunity to document new life oh-so-inspiring! The newborn stage is precious, and it is fleeting. In the whirlwind of sleepless nights and groggy days, your newborn images will become a treasured remembrance of this sweet and short-lived time.
My photographic style is a careful combination of candid photojournalism and fine art portraiture. My goal is to create more than pictures alone. My goal is to provide my clients with a visual record of the first days with their beautiful new baby, so that they can always remember what this time in their lives felt like.
My images are classic yet modern; think McGee & Co. meets photos of the people you love most in the world! I steer away from photography trends, forego the latest ‘fads’, and choose instead to create classic, natural-light images that have a timeless and carefree feel. I provide my clients with loose direction rather than stiff posing so that the natural movement and emotion of the moment shines through. By striking this delicate balance I create photographs that are fresh, light-filled, and natural.
All Los Angeles newborn photography sessions take place in my natural light Camarillo photography studio.

what to expect for your Los Angeles newborn photography session

After the session
Before your session Daniele will chat with you to make sure her studio is the perfect location for your newborn session. She'll make suggestions on what to wear for the best results (Hello, Pinterest!), and will offer advise on the best time of day for the session to take place. Los Angeles newborn photography sessions are conducted mid-morning, as that is when lighting conditions are best in her studio. Newborn sessions tend to take a while and there will be plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and comforting baby. Daniele likes to allow plenty time so that the vibe of the session is relaxed and no one will feel rushed.
Approximately two weeks after your session your Los Angeles newborn photography session your images will be available for online viewing. You will receive an-mail stating that your photos are ready to be viewed along with a link to access your gallery.
Your viewing gallery will be live for seven days, and it is recommended that every effort be made to place your order within that time frame. Once your gallery expires there is a $45 reload fee to publish your gallery for an additional seven days.
All the images from your session are available for purchase in both print and digital format. Each image is meticulously enhanced to ensure that your prints will be stunning.
Newborn sessions usually take around an hour and a half, but some may last 2 or more.
Come with a happy attitude and be ready to snuggle with your little one! Seriously...even if everything went wrong the morning of your session. You know those days-your baby had a major diaper blow out, your toddler can't find her shoes. As parents we've all been there. Just relax, leave it behind you, and look forward to spending some quality time with your family. There are no rules at a photo session and Daniele likes to keep it fun and carefree for the kids. Embrace that and play along…you’ll love the results!

Standard session Fee
• an initial consultation either by phone or email to discuss possible locations, clothing choices, and to answer any questions that you may have
• Daniele’s time and talent on the date of the session
• a custom-styled on-location shoot at your home or the alternate location of your choice (the studio is recommended for newborn sessions)
• touch-ups and attention to each image
• 40-50 portraits presented in a private online gallery from which you may purchase your images, either a la carte or in a collection
The session fee does not include images, either in digital or print format. All prints and collections are sold separately.

Newborns are Daniele’s favorite subject to photograph as she finds the opportunity to document brand new life oh-so-inspiring. The newborn stage is precious and it is fleeting. In the whirlwind of sleepless nights and groggy days, your Los Angeles newborn Photography images will become a treasured remembrance of this sweet and short-lived time.
The best time to schedule your newborn session is while you’re still pregnant. Because your little one’s arrival is unpredictable, Daniele will pencil your due date into her calendar, and will leave room for your session in her schedule around that time. Once you are home from the hospital, a set date and time will be established.
If your baby is already here, please call or email to inquire about session availability, as Daniele does try to fit newborns into her schedule whenever possible.
When is the best time to schedule my Los Angeles newborn photography session?
what is the perfect age to photograph a newborn?
Daniele prefers to photograph newborns during their first two weeks of life, with the most optimal time being between 5-10 days. During this time babies are still blissfully sleepy and can easily curl into poses. After two weeks baby acne, molting, and colic can start to become an issue.
Where will my newborn session take place and how long will it take?
The preferred location for newborn sessions is Daniele’s natural light studio. It is a warm and inviting space and all the necessities are close at hand. During your session Daniele will follow baby’s lead with plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes and soothing. Because of this, it is not uncommon for newborn sessions to last two to three hours, sometimes more. Please plan accordingly.
Where is your studio located (directions)?
Daniele's studio is in an adorable cottage on her property in Camarillo, and as such directions are not posted on this website. Once your session is booked directions will be sent to you via email.
how far in advance are you booked?
Because of the custom nature of her work, Daniele only books a limited number of Los Angeles newborn photography sessions each month. There are certain times of the year that are busier than others. Late spring and early fall are almost always booked with a waiting list, so it is never a bad idea to get a spot as quickly as possible. Depending on time of year, please be sure to schedule at least 3 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure an appointment.
Can I purchase the digital negatives?
Yes! Many clients who wish to preserve and self-archive their sessions. For more information about digital negative packages, please get in touch for a complete rate sheet.
