For this Ventura County family photography session I caught up with DeNai and her sweet family at their lovely home in Ventura. DeNai is the founder and head designer of Petunia Pickle Bottom. She is super stylish and fun. DeNai was accompanied by her husband, Braden (Co-Founder), and two sons Sutton and Miller. The family is adorable and loves to travel in their hip van.
This session was commissioned by Camille Styles, a lifestyle blog, for an article they were writing about DeNai and her company. To capture a variety of imagery, the session was broken up into two parts. One part was at their adorable home, and the second was at a favorite local Ventura beach.
Home Session
We started by hanging out at the family’s home, relaxing and making crafts with the boys. I love the candid shots of the boys in action. DeNai and her sweet boys have such a strong bond, and they definitely share and a mutual affinity for all things creative!
Beach Session
We also did a second component to the shoot, that took place on Silver Strand beach in Ventura County. The Jones’ hosted a ‘sushi & saki on the beach’ dinner for their family and friends. They even brought their awesome van to the shoot!
